It was a white Christmas on Wednesday as Beyoncé made a Houston homecoming in classic Texas style.
Clad in all white, the 32x Grammy winner rode into NRG Stadium on a white horse, performing ’16 Carriages’ and her Beatles ‘Blackbiird’ cover to kick off her A Cowboy Carter Christmas NFL halftime show at the Houston Texans-Baltimore Ravens game.
Taking the field with a group of white-clad dancers and marching band, Bey continued with her songs ‘Ya Ya’, ‘Riiverdance’, before she was joined by Shaboozey. She continued with ‘Sweet Honey Buckin” and ‘Levii’s Jeans’, for which she was joined by Post Malone.
Beyoncé then sang her version of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’ while sitting atop the backseat of a moving convertible, before taking the stage and singing her debut country album’s lead single ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’.
“I’m so honored to be in Texas right now,” she said. “It’s only right that we do ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ for the first time in Houston, Texas on Christmas.”
The artist was then joined by daughter 12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter, who joined in on the square dance choreo with her mom.
