Bianca Belair discusses Becky Lynch reportedly taking time off from WWE.
Becky Lynch lost to Liv Morgan on the May 27 episode of WWE RAW. She subsequently entered free agency, as her contract expired at the end of the month. It has since been reported that Lynch is taking some time off from WWE.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo, Bianca Belair was asked about the rumors that Becky Lynch will be taking some time off.
“I’m just super supportive of Becky, of whatever space she’s in right now, what she wants to do,” Bianca Belair said. “Everyone knows how pivotal Becky was for my career. Not just inside the ring, outside the ring. She’s someone that I’ve always been able to go to and lean on, just for advice and as a friend. I would call Becky my friend.
“She’s someone who has stood up for me, who has led me, who has taught me. We see everything that Becky has done for this division and for the women’s division. Being one of the Four Horsewomen, being one of the women that has main-evented WrestleMania.”
Bianca Belair On Becky Lynch
Bianca Belair continued by highlighting Becky Lynch’s contributions to the business. She stated that Lynch was a legend. Belair said that Lynch would be inducted into the Hall of Fame one day. However, she noted that she did not think it would be soon.
“If you read her book, you saw what her goal was to turn this women’s division into, and I think that she was a huge part of that,” Bianca Belair said. “She’s just so inspiring, with what she’s done with her time as NXT Champion and what she did for those women down there, what she’s done with Liv Morgan in the ring, what she’s done in general. Becky Lynch is a legend, and I love when Becky is here in WWE, and I’m just super excited for her, for whatever she wants to do right now.
“I think that she’s the GOAT. I think she’s gonna be in the Hall of Fame one day, for sure, but I don’t see that time coming anytime soon. But no, just super excited for her with where she’s at right now.
