The Road to WrestleMania officially began with the kickoff press event last night. Most of the storylines are starting to fall in place.

We know that Cody Rhodes will face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 and Bayley will challenge IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship. However, Rhea Ripley still doesn’t have an opponent for WrestleMania 40.

To settle this problem, WWE announced a Women’s Elimination Chamber match at the Elimination Chamber PLE where the winner will go on to face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 40.

Becky Lynch became the first person to qualify for the match when she defeated Shayna Baszler on the 2/5 episode of RAW. Tonight on SmackDown, it was announced that Bianca Belair would face Michin in another Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Michin started the match in a strong position against Michin. She took the fight to the former RAW Women’s Champion and even came very close to beating her when she hit the Eat Defeat. However, Belair was able to recompose herself and hit the KOD for the win.

With this win, Bianca Belair moves on to the Elimination Chamber PLE where she will get the chance to punch her ticket to WrestleMania. Stay tuned to Ringside News as we bring you live coverage of WWE SmackDown.
