The New Day is regarded as one of the greatest tag teams in the history of WWE, and it’s not really hard to see why, but WWE has slowly been angling towards a breakup for the faction. In fact, Big E has now reacted to rumors of The New Day breaking up.

The New Day originally debuted as heels but turned into babyfaces due to their growing popularity. Before that, none of the members had experienced a significant run in WWE and in the years since then, they have truly changed the game in the company.

For the past few months, there have been tensions between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods on Monday Night RAW, with WWE essentially making it clear The New Day will not remain together.

While speaking to Sports Talk Philly, Big E addressed the rumors about The New Day possibly splitting up, stating that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have both had great success as singles competitors.

Big E believes it’s possible for them to pursue their singles careers while still remaining a tag team. Big E emphasized that there are many paths available for both talented wrestlers, whether they stay together or explore individual opportunities.

“Kofi has accomplished incredible things in a singles capacity, and so has Woods. I think there is a route for those guys to amicably go their own way and do singles stuff. I think there is also a route for them to be together as a tag-team. There are a lot of options for two incredibly talented guys.”

Big E is still recovering from his neck injury and there’s no telling if he will ever return to the ring. Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston will end up splitting eventually, as fans would be sad to see the faction no longer staying together.

What do you think of what Big E had to say regarding a potential New Day breakup? Do you feel a splitting up for the faction is necessary? Let us know in the comments section below!
