Big E looks set to be involved in an upcoming Netflix project in the near future.

The former WWE Champion’s wrestling career has been up in the air since breaking his neck in March 2022. While there is a chance he could wrestle again, the New Day member is branching out into all sorts of fields as he decides what next to do in life.

He has been given broadcasting opportunities with the WWE. Following that experience, Big E looks to have secured a deal with Netflix for an upcoming, as-yet-unnamed, project.

Big E recently co-hosted a Fanatics Live signing via UpUpDownDown. The former WWE Champion revealed he will be part of a show on Netflix, set to broadcast next year.

He added that half of the show is already recorded, with the other half set to film very soon.

“Watch out for a little something that I might be involved with on Netflix. I can’t really give more details. Sometimes, they just give you a little crumb. This is a whole meal,” Big E said. Half of it was already recorded, about to record the other half very, very soon in a couple of weeks and I think top of next year, look out for it. Lot of Netflix, look out for it. Coming full force! To Netflix.”

Big E Hopes To Be Cleared Within The Next Year

If he does return to wrestling, Big E thinks it has to be sooner rather than later.

In an interview with Carlo Perruzza, Big E was asked about possibly returning to the ring. He noted that his neck is not “ossifying”, so he was not in a position to be cleared to compete. He stated that if he were to get cleared, it would hopefully happen in the next year or so. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)

“We’ll see (if I could ever wrestle again),” Big E said. “Right now, my neck is just not ossifying. It’s not turning into new bone quite yet. It is kind of healing fibrously. So it’s all connected and it’s no fear that if I were pushed too hard or if I were bumped, anything would happen. None of that.

“But I’m not really in a position right now to be cleared, medically, because of the nature of what we do is very physical and taking bumps requires you to have a rock-solid neck. So, we’ll see what the future holds. Mind you, there’s kind of a race against the clock. I’m 38. I’m no spring chicken anymore so, if I were to be cleared, hopefully it would happen within the next year or so.”
