Big E provides the latest update on his potential return.
Former WWE Champion Big E has not wrestled since March 2022. He fractured his C1 vertebrae and C6 vertebrae on a botches suplex by Ridge Holland, and his in-ring future has been unclear ever since. In recent months, he has appeared on panels at WWE premium live events.
Speaking with Kyle Odegard for Sports Talk Philly, Big E was asked whether there had been any improvement physically.
“I don’t really know because I have no real pain issues. My day-to-day life is very normal. I have no day-to-day issues, no issues with headaches or pain, functioning issues, any of those things. I did go down to a beautiful place called RejuvStem in Cancun, and got some stem cells, so we’ll see. That was about three months ago, so we’ll see how that looks and if there’s any progress there. More than anything, I’m really grateful just to be living a happy, healthy life. No issues at all with my neck right now.”
Big E On Potential Return
Big E was also asked about getting stem cell treatment and whether he was hopeful about his potential return. He said that he would be getting neck scans in three to six months to see if he was healthy enough to return.
“Yeah. More than anything, I’m just taking every day as it comes,” Big E said. “I know that sounds like a cliche. But I get scans again in another three-to-six months, and if they look great and the doctors say it’s healthy for me to go back, then that’s something where we’ll sit down and talk about it. But I try not to spend too much time worrying about things I can’t control. It’s nice to know that if I get the opportunity to get back in the ring, and I can do it healthily, then let’s do that. Let’s attack it fully. But if not, I know exactly what I want to do, and I’m excited about that path, too.”
WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
