Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca now has both Raheem Sterling and Ben Chilwell training away from the first-team, according to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update on X.
The Italian journalist has posted updates on Sterling and Chilwell as they look almost certain to be heading out of Stamford Bridge this summer following this latest development of being excluded from training with the rest of Maresca’s squad.
See below for details in a series of posts from Romano, who also quotes Maresca as saying he prefers a different style of player to Sterling out wide, with the Blues boss being brutally honest about the former Manchester City man…

Chelsea transfer update: Sterling and Chilwell out?
Sterling was once one of the finest attacking players in Europe after shining at Liverpool and Man City, but it’s probably fair to say that he’s never really reached that level again in a Chelsea shirt.
It could now make sense for the west London giants to move the 29-year-old on as he looks like a player who has passed his peak, but then it could also prove tricky to offload a player like that.

Meanwhile, there’s speculation that Chilwell has been offered to Manchester United, as per talkSPORT, so it could be that we’ll see the England international making this surprise late move to one of CFC’s rivals.
Chilwell has mostly been a reliable performer for Chelsea, but injuries have held him back and there’s now increased competition for his place in the team.
Ben Chilwell looks set to leave ChelseaUnited could surely benefit from bringing in someone like Chilwell due to issues of their own at left-back, with both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia missing a lot of games in the last year or so due to fitness issues.
Chelsea have had another busy summer, with Conor Gallagher also leaving the club to join Atletico Madrid, and Armando Broja is also surely on his way out now as he closes in on a move to Ipswich Town.
