The Marseille-PSG rivalry is already heating up. Antonio Cassano, impressed by the new face of OM, warns the capital club.
Paris Saint-Germain kicked off their Ligue 1 season with a convincing 1-4 win in Le Havre last Friday. The following day, Olympique de Marseille also shone, winning 5-1 away to Brest.
This demonstration by the Phocéens marked the official debut of Roberto De Zerbi as coach of OM. The performance of the Marseillais did not fail to provoke enthusiastic reactions, notably from Antonio Cassano, former Italian international.
“Attention PSG, we’re coming to get you”
The former AS Roma and Real Madrid player, seduced by the new Olympian recruit Mason Greenwood and the De Zerbi touch, warns the Parisian club not to underestimate its historic rival.
“I would like to tell PSG to be careful with Marseille because they have a stratospheric player like Greenwood and then De Zerbi has already put his face on it. Watch out PSG, we are coming to get you,” Cassano launched into the show Long live football.
