Danny Masterson’s estranged wife, Bijou Phillips, has reportedly left the Church of Scientology, which reportedly expelled the actor shortly after he was sentenced to prison for rape last fall.

“Bijou left a few weeks after she found out that Danny had been declared an SP [suppressive person] for not living up to the standards of the church,” an insider with close ties to former Scientology members claimed to the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

“It’s never an easy decision to leave Scientology because you face being ripped apart from your family and friends who are still members,” the source added, noting that Phillips, 43, “had nothing to lose” since most of her loved ones are not Scientologists.

The actress’ decision reportedly stemmed from her desire to make sure the former couple’s only child, 9-year-old Fianna, maintained a relationship with her father.

Phillips “wasn’t about to cut ties with Danny, per Scientology’s disconnection rules,” the informant said. “Bijou would never do that to her daughter.”

According to the Mail, the “Raising Hope” star quietly exited the organization with the help of her half-sister Chynna Phillips.

“‘Chynna has been a rock for Bijou, and even though she’s passionate about her own religion, she would never force anything onto Bijou,” the insider explained, referencing Chynna and her husband Billy Baldwin’s devotion to Christianity.

The source added that “Scientology’s biggest threat now is Danny and whether or not he will blow the lid on the church and its secrets, meaning what they told him to do, how to handle the rape allegations. It’s far from over, especially with the civil suits coming up.”

Reps for Bijou and the Church of Scientology did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

The Mail reported in October 2023 that Masterson, 47, had been kicked out of the organization following his double rape conviction that earned him 30 years behind bars.

A former Scientologist told the outlet at the time that the “That ’70s Show” star had been declared an SP, which the church defines as someone whose behavior seeks to impede the spiritual progress of those around them.

Active members are to cut off all contact with those labeled suppressive.

“They (church officials) declared Danny a suppressive person for not maintaining the high ethical standards for the Church of Scientology and other reasons, but not because he was convicted of rape,” the informant claimed.

“They are still maintaining his innocence, saying he will appeal and that’s not why he’s been declared, but this is not to be talked about by anyone.”

According to the source, the organization wants to separate themselves from the actor for reputation purposes and to avoid additional legal involvement.

Phillips — who stood by Masterson’s side throughout his trials — filed for divorce in September 2023, less than two weeks after he learned his fate in court.

The following month, he agreed to give her full custody of their daughter.
