In recent days, Bordeaux has experienced a significant wave of departures. After filing for bankruptcy and losing its professional status, the club logically terminated the contracts of all the professional players in the squad. And some of them were quick to find buyers. This is particularly the case of the young French right defender Johaneko Louis-Jean. The latter, originally from Bayonne, has just signed with Bilbao.

“Athletic Club and Johaneko Louis-Jean (2004) have reached an agreement to incorporate the player with a contract until June 30, 2026, with the option of two more years. The one from Bayonne arrives free from the Girondins de Bordeaux and immediately joins Bilbao Athletic. The right-back from Iparralde played last season, on loan, for CD Lugo of the First Federation, with whom he played 20 regular league games and three Cup qualifiers. In addition, Johaneko has been an international on several occasions in different lower categories of the French team.”we can read in the press release. He should evolve with the reserve at first.
