EXCLUSIVE: Following his scene stealing hosting job on Saturday Night Live, Bill Burr looks to have found his next feature project as sources tell Deadline Skydance Sports has closed a development deal with Burr to write, direct, produce and star in a feature film, Born Losers.The film will also be produced by Jesse Sisgold, Jason Reed and Don Granger for Skydance Sports and along with Burr, Mike Bertolina and Ben Tishler for North Hill Productions. Sandino Moya-Smith will oversee the project for Skydance.
This is the first film project for Burr’s newly formed North Hill Productions. The project is in the early stages with Burr and Tishler set to write the script. The logline is being kept under wraps.
Besides the recent SNL hosting gig, Burr is staying busy and will make his Broadway debut alongside Kieran Culkin and Bob Odenkirk in David Mamet’s Glengarry Glen Ross in 20215. He will also release his eighth hour-long stand-up special on Hulu in March.
Last October, Bill’s film, Old Dads, which he directed, co-wrote and stars in, premiered as the most-watched film on Netflix in its first and second week of release. He also hosts the Monday Morning Podcast. He is repped by WME.
