Keep reading to find out more… “I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Ever, ever, ever,” she told Vogue, with, as they noted, visible frustration. “And I hope that they never will again. And I’m never talking about my sexuality ever again. And I’m never talking about who I’m dating ever again.” Billie came out while addressing her sexuality in a profile with Variety nearly a year ago, and noted the next month that she didn’t intend to come out. “I guess I also underestimate that things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world,” she added. Billie also spoke out about the importance of the upcoming 2024 Presidential Election and reasons why she is voting. “I mean, this is the most important election of our time, maybe,” she said. “And it’s so easy to be like, I don’t want to think about it…. I have that same kind of feeling: I’m one person, I can’t make any change. But the truth is, we can all make change. And I have this platform and I’m going to use it.” Just a few weeks ago, Billie and her brother Finneas used their platforms and endorsed Kamala Harris for the next President of the United States. As for what issues are important to her, she says she’s a “really big fan of human rights. Really big fan of women’s rights and women’s reproductive rights and social justice and gun laws.” “A lot of my fans are going to be able to vote for the first time. So I’m like, Do you like freedom?” Billie adds. “First female president? Would be really amazing. I would love to feel safe as a woman in my country.” Billie is currently on her Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, without her mom and brother for the first time. Check out the full set list here!
