Billy Jack Haynes has been charged.
William Albert Haynes, better known as former WWE talent Billy Jack Haynes, was reportedly arrested as a suspect on February 8 following the deadly shooting of his 85-year-old wife Janette Becraft. The shooting took place at their residence in the Lents Neighborhood in Portland.
In an update, KOIN 6 News reports that Haynes has officially been charged with murder in the second degree and unlawful use of a weapon.
The report notes that authorities were on the scene for nearly two hours on February 8 because Haynes would not come out of the house to be detained. He went on to spend time in the hospital due to a medical issue unrelated to the homicide. Upon his release from the hospital on Wednesday afternoon, Haynes was taken to jail on murder charges.
WrestleZone will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
