Once the farming window is closed, Binance will list the token for trading on April 30.

Binance has announced the addition of Renzo (EZ) as the 53rd project to join its Launchpool, marking another milestone for the world’s largest digital asset trading platform.

Renzo, a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol founded by James Poole and Lucas Kozinski, brings a simplified approach to restaking on EigenLayer, offering users a more accessible and liquid method to engage with the process.

Binance to List EZ on April 30

Renzo’s inclusion in the Binance Launchpool underscores the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting promising blockchain projects within its ecosystem.

Since its introduction in September 2020, the Launchpool has provided users with opportunities to participate in early-stage projects and earn rewards through staking. With Renzo being the latest to join the trend,  users can look forward to farming the project’s native crypto known as EZ.

Binance said that users will be able to farm EZ by simply staking their BNB and FDUSD holdings to separate pools starting Wednesday, April 24. The web pages of the pools will be accessible to users five hours after the announcement.

Renzo has allocated approximately 2.5% of its token supply for this event, which will run for six days until April 29 at 23:59 UTC.

Trading and Token Pairs

Once the farming window is closed, Binance will list the token for trading on April 30.

Users can trade EZ against various pairs such as EZ/BTC, EZ/USDT, EZ/BNB, EZ/FDUSD, and EZ/TRY, enhancing liquidity and accessibility for investors.

Binance has also cautioned users to beware of scammers who promise early access to purchase the token before the scheduled trading time, as EZ will initially debut on the Binance platform before expanding to other exchanges.

“Binance will be the first platform to list the token mentioned herein, with trade starting at 2024-04-30 12:00 (UTC) – any claims to offer this token for sale before the stated timeline are false advertising. Please do your own research to ensure the safety of your funds,” the company warned.

Scammers Steal 480 BNB

The warning follows attempted hacks targeting a crypto project hosted on Binance Launchpool in March. Last month, scammers exploited a counterfeit version of Ethena Labs token ENA shortly after its launch at Binance Launchpool.

Mistaking the fake token for the authentic ENA, the scammers managed to siphon 480 BNB, equivalent to around $295,000 at the current market price.

Blockchain security firm PeckShield detected the incident, which initially misidentified the fake token as the genuine ENA.
