As part of the 18th day of the Bundesliga, Union Berlin, in great difficulty in recent months, welcomed Mainz to An der Alten Försterei. Orphan of the slightest victory since October 20, the capital club finally found a smile again this Sunday, during the reception of the 6th of BL.

Buoyed by Benedict Hollerbach's early opening score (1-0, 1st), Union Berlin pocketed three precious points despite Nadiem Amiri's equalizer from the penalty spot (1-1, 5th). A few moments later, and again from the penalty spot, Robert Skov, in fact, gave his team the advantage (2-1, 24th). In the second half, the score no longer changed and Union Berlin therefore found itself 12th. Mainz is still in 6th place.
