talkSPORT understands his relationship with the Blackburn board has been uneasy since he came close to leaving in the summer.

Tomasson is also believed to be unhappy with their January transfer dealings, which saw star player Adam Wharton sign for Crystal Palace in £22million deal that did not include a loan back.

The Dane is negotiating his exit from the club this morning, his potential replacement being sounded out.

It is also understood Tomasson is interested in the vacant Sweden job.
