Blackpool vs Nottingham Forest: FFP woes
Forest not playing since the club last faced Blackpool has not protected them from generating headlines.
The Premier League confirmed this week that Forest have breached their Profit and Sustainability rules from the 2020/21 season to the 2022/23 campaign.
Under the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules, teams can't lose more than £105million over three years.
However, sides who spent time in the EFL in that period are under stricter rules, meaning they have to be even tighter with the purse strings.
Since their promotion from the Championship in 2022, Forest have spent close to £250m on 43 players, including over £160m nearly two years ago.
In that period, they only made around £5m from sales - with Brennan Johnson's £47m switch to Tottenham going through in August, two months after the cutoff point, and thus can't be included in these accounts.
Forest are now staring down the barrel of a Premier League points deduction, but a potential cup run could help lift fan spirits.
"We are all concerned at the club but me as a coach there's nothing I have to think of, or to deal with, with that," said Nuno.
"My job is clear - to prepare the team. We have a match tomorrow and that's what we are focused on."

"It’s a competition that means a lot,” Forest boss Nuno said. “It means a lot to our fans, and especially to me.
“It was my first contact with English football in the 80s, so I have a really good feeling about it. The first final I saw was 1981. It was the only moment we saw British football when I was in Portugal.
"The FA Cup is very important to me. It is very important for me, for the players, for the club, the fans and for English football. It’s a big competition.
"We have to start the game better. The mistake in the first game was the beginning of the game - we conceded too easily. We have to improve on that.
"The second half was very good, the way we managed to turn the result around. We look forward to playing the same as the second half - go for the game and play well.”
