Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have a federal judge threatening to move up their March 2026 trial start date if their legal battle continues to be “litigated in the press.”
Judge Lewis J. Liman imposed a rule on both sides, according to Deadline.
Neither side in the case is to say anything to the press that could influence a potential jury, although it’s unclear how long that is supposed to last.

Justin‘s lawyer Bryan Freedman reiterated that he wants the case to move fast, while Blake and husband Ryan Reynolds‘ attorney Michael Gottlieb said he was “very happy” with how the nearly 90-minute hearing went on Monday (February 3).
Neither Blake, Ryan, nor Justin were in attendance.
All parties are still aiming for a Spring 2026 trial start in the now consolidated cases of Blake‘s New Year’s Eve harassment and retaliation case against Justin, his PR team and financiers, and Justin‘s $400 million defamation and extortion case against Blake, Ryan and their publicist Leslie Sloane.
