‘Bling Empire: New York’ star Lynn Ban undergoes emergency brain surgery after ski accident

“Bling Empire: New York” star Lynn Ban shared that she had to undergo emergency brain surgery after getting involved in a ski accident over the holidays.

“And In a blink of an eye … life can change,” she began a lengthy Instagram post Monday. “Christmas Eve on a beautiful sunny day in Aspen on vacation with my family , I had a ski accident that would change my life.”

Ban, 51, recalled standing at the top of a mountain when one of her skis got caught on something and caused her to face-plant.

Since she was wearing a protective helmet, the Netflix personality did not think her injury was “that bad at the time” and continued skiing to the bottom of the mountain.

However, she decided to err on the side of caution and saw a ski patrol medic who “cleared” her of a concussion and other injuries.

“I had a bit of a headache but thought after lunch it would be fine and I could ski again,” she continued. “The paramedic suggested I I go to the hospital for a cat scan . This saved my life.”

Ban said she and her husband, Jett Kain, took a taxi to a hospital, where they learned that her wounds were more serious than anticipated.

“Within 30 minutes they told us I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to the trauma hospital,” she wrote. “Last thing I remember was being intubated and waking up after an emergency craniotomy with Jett by my side.”

The reality TV star clarified that she still has a “long road of recovery ahead” but called herself a “survivor.”

“[I am] grateful to ski patrol , the incredible team of doctors and nurses and the [love] and support my family and friends GOD IS GOOD,” she concluded. “Grateful and blessed to see the new year.”

Ban detailed the incident under a series of photos that showed her recovering in the hospital.

The first was a selfie in a hospital bed that showed half of her black hair had to be shaved off her head so doctors could gain access to her brain.

Another snap displayed the back of her shaved head, which had a major stitched incision in her skull.

The jewelry designer also included photos of herself sleeping in the bed with several tubes and IVs in her as well as pictures from the fateful ski trip with her husband.

Ban received more than a thousand from fans, friends and co-stars alike sending their prayers and wishing her a healthy recovery.
