Bobby Lashley provides an update on his status.

Lashley last wrestled at the WWE live event on May 5. He has not competed on WWE television since April. Lashley is reportedly expected to leave WWE, as Fightful Select reported that his contract is expiring this weekend. As previously reported, he has not been in WWE’s creative plans.

Speaking on The Laboratory with Plaz, Bobby Lashley was asked to speak to what was going on with him and WWE. He stated that he had surgery. Lashley then noted that he hoped to be cleared in less than a month.

“I can tell you this. I had surgery,” Bobby Lashley said. “A little boo-boo happened in France during the match, just a freak accident. After that, I had my surgery. They told me I wasn’t supposed to be back for like six months.

“Six weeks, I had the brace off, I’m working out. My physical therapist was like, ‘You’re not supposed to be able to do that.’ I said, ‘I’m different. I’m different, bro.’ I’m working out, I’m lifting, and I don’t even think I’m two months out of surgery now, and I’m hitting it pretty hard. I think I’ll be ready/clear in less than a month. At that time, we’ll see what happens.”
