Bobby Lashley says he has not had much of a connection with Triple H.
The former WWE Champion has not wrestled on WWE television since April. He has been sidelined since May, as he underwent surgery. In recent weeks, fans have buzzed about his status, as his contract is reportedly coming up. Fightful Select reported that it is set to expire this weekend.
Speaking on The Laboratory with Plaz, Bobby Lashley was asked whether he preferred working with Triple H or Vince McMahon. He noted that McMahon saw him as a star. He then stated that he has not had much of a connection with Triple H.
“If I say the wrong thing right now…I had a connection with Vince,” Bobby Lashley said. “Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show, he looked at people that were stars, and he saw that in me. There was a lot of little nuggets that Vince would give me all the way throughout my career and tell me different things. So Vince just looked at me, he was like, ‘I can tell Bobby works his ass off.
“I can send him anywhere around the country to represent the company.’ He just looked at me as a star. I haven’t really had too much of a connection with Hunter. Hunter has his guys, and I’ve tried to, but we haven’t really worked enough together to get to know each other.”
