EXCLUSIVE: Gersh has inked actor Omar J. Dorsey for representation.
Dorsey most recently starred as the co-lead, Ray, in HBO Max’s Chuck Lorre sports comedy series Bookie. The second season of the Sebastian Maniscalco show is set to premiere in December.
A frequent collaborator of filmmaker Ava DuVernay, Dorsey starred in her Oscar-winning film Selma and Emmy-winning series When They See Us. He also starred for seven seasons in the beloved drama Queen Sugar, which was directed and executive produced by DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey. His turn in Queen Sugar earned Dorsey a Black Reel Award for Television in the Supporting Actor, Drama Series category.
His film credits also include roles in the Oscar-nominated Harriet and Best Picture nominee, The Blind Side, which won Sandra Bullock her Academy Award and grossed over $309M at the global box office. Other features credits include the Blumhouse Halloween trilogy with Jamie Lee Curtis, Race to Witch Mountain starring Dwayne Johnson. Dorsey’s TV credits count series such as Power Book III: Raising Kanan, Ray Donovan, Rake, Eastbound & Down, Rizzoli & Isles, and the CSI, NCIS, and Bones franchises.
