The Carabao Cup third round draw was made on Wednesday night.

This followed the final tie of the second round having been decided on penalties.

Drama at the City Ground when Joelinton saw his penalty saved and Nottingham Forest at one point were 3-1 ahead in the shootout after the match had ended 1-1 in normal time.

However, it was United who kept their nerve whilst Forest lost theirs.

Super cool penalties from Bruno, Gordon and Longstaff added to Isak’s successful opening NUFC spot-kick, whilst Forest hit the bar and row z with their last two.

The Carabao Cup third round draw saw Newcastle get League Two side AFC Wimbledon away from home.
