The Carabao Cup fourth round draw was made on Wednesday night.
This followed the fifteenth tie of the third round having played out.
Liverpool winning 5-1 at Anfield against West Ham, the the draw taking place.
Arsenal a similarly comfortable passage through on the same night, 5-1 against Bolton.
However, there were 17 clubs left in the competition when last night’s fourth round draw was made.
With Newcastle United and AFC Wimbledon not playing their third round game until Tuesday, after their game was postponed and moved to St James’ Park, due to flood damage at Plough Lane.

As you can see, a very competitive Carabao Cup this season.
Matters not helped by the fact it was fixed so that the Champions League and Europa League clubs all pretty much were effectively handed a bye, having been kept apart in the third round.
