Details On Boosie’s Texas Warrant

KXAN reports that Boosie, born Torence Hatch, faces a theft of service charge ranging from $2,500 to $30,000. The charge filed on August 29 stems from an incident in June where Boosie allegedly failed to pay for chauffer services he received over several days.

KXAN also revealed that the chauffeur repeatedly asked Boosie and his manager about payment. Eventually, the driver sent the Louisiana rapper an invoice for $8,800, which he claims he never received.

The Advocate notes that someone reached out on June 5 to request a sprinter van to pick up the ‘Wipe Me Down’ emcee and others from the Austin airport that same day. The car service company did not receive an itinerary but ended up driving Boosie and his companions to multiple locations and activities over three days.

AllHipHop adds that Boosie praised the chauffeur services and shared a promotional video for the business on Instagram.

In response, the driver expressed gratitude and mentioned offering Boosie a “good price.” The ‘Set It Off’ artist then proposed that the company deduct the cost from the promotional video, and the driver reportedly agreed to “work something out.”

However, the chauffeur later told police that no situation existed where the promotional video would completely cover the service costs. He added that he never had such agreements with any client.

The driver also shared screenshots of messages where he requested the services and mentioned that payment would be made in cash.

Authorities issued the warrant for Boosie related to the incident on Friday, (Sept. 20), and he must appear in court in Travis County on October 28.
