Braun Strowman wants to face Drew McIntyre in a world title match at WWE WrestleMania 41.
Braun Strowman was sidelined for several months, but he returned to WWE RAW earlier this year. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre continues to chase the World Heavyweight Championship. However, CM Punk keeps standing in his way. McIntyre is currently suspended for attacking Adam Pearce and WWE officials.
Speaking on WWE – Die Woche, Braun Strowman was asked to comment on who he wants to face at WWE WrestleMania 41. He pointed to Drew McIntyre and noted that they have talked about it. (H/t Andrew Thompson of POST Wrestling for the transcription)
“Drew McIntyre for the World Heavyweight Championship,” Strowman said. “Him and I have talked about this and wanted this and been close to getting it and it hasn’t happened. But I think him and I need a good feud that has a payoff at WrestleMania. We’re both two larger-than-life titans walking on this earth with the rest of these peasants in this locker room. I think it’s time that they give the big boys the spotlight and let us go out there and do what we do.”
During the interview, Braun Strowman noted that his knee was banged up, and he was set to get it checked out.
