Unlike the other big names, Brazil failed to win its first match at the Copa America.

Sad first for Brazil at the Copa America. Under the eyes of Neymar, the Seleçao could not do better than a draw against Costa Rica (0-0) for its entry into the running.

The Brazilians multiplied their chances but lacked success in front of goal. The Brazilians thought they had done the hard part by opening the score after half an hour thanks to Marquinhos, but his goal scored from a corner was logically disallowed for offside.

A Lucas Paqueta post followed in the second half and Brazil had to settle for a meager point while in the other group match, Colombia beat (2-1) Paraguay, the Seleçao’s next opponent.
