IMG Credit: WWENot tonight. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and several of them can take a wrestler out of the ring for a very long time. This can become a major issue when someone is in the middle of a big storyline, or even at the start of something new. That appears to be the case again, as a top WWE Superstar has been pulled from a match that could have been the start of something big.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No More: Jerry Lawler Reportedly Gone From WWE
Monday Night Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has announced that Drew McIntyre has been pulled from this week’s show as he is not medically cleared. McIntyre had been scheduled to face Finn Balor in the first round of the King Of The Ring tournament. No replacement has been announced. McIntyre has been dealing with an elbow injury since WrestleMania but has been competing since then.
That’s not good. Check out the announcement plus what McIntyre has been doing lately:
Opinion: That isn’t good to hear as you never want to see someone get injured. McIntyre is someone who has been doing a lot of good things lately and it would be a shame to see him get further banged up. If he isn’t going to win the tournament or even make a deep run, there is no need to leave him out there and risk the injury getting even worse, so this should be the right move.
What do you think of the change? Who should take McIntyre’s place? Let us know in the comments below.
