Joshua suffers second career knockout defeat
Anthony Joshua has suffered the second knockout defeat of his career, falling to Daniel Dubois in their all-British heavyweight title fight at Wembley Stadium.
Dubois, the IBF heavyweight champion, dominated the bout from the opening round, knocking Joshua down twice before landing a decisive right hand in the fifth round that sent Joshua face down on the canvas. Despite Joshua’s attempt to rise, the referee called an end to the fight, sealing Dubois’ victory and Joshua’s shocking defeat.
This marks Joshua’s second knockout loss, dimming his hopes of a third world title reign.
