Breaking: Stephanie Vaquer Leaving CMLL And NJPW

CMLL has confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer will no longer be competing for them nor NJPW. Vaquer was both the CMLL World Women’s Champion and one-half of the CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Champion with Zeuxis.

The promotion writes:

We want to inform you that Stephanie Vaquer has abruptly informed us that she will not participate, for personal reasons, in her next fight at FantasticaMania USA. As of today, he also no longer belongs to the CMLL and NJPW talent.

A championship match was confirmed to crown a new CMLL Women’s Champion. A three-way will take place between Viva Van, Willow Nightingale, and Lluvia.

Vaquer was also the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion up until the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event. She dropped that title to AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné.

There had been rumors recently that Vaquer had interest from both AEW and WWE, but it was unsure if an offer was made.
