The United Kingdom has implemented a ban preventing Health and Care Workers from bringing their dependants into the country.
The UK Home Office announced this decision through its official X handle (formerly Twitter) on Monday.
According to the statement, “From today, care workers entering the UK on Health and Care Worker visas can no longer bring dependants. This is part of our plan to deliver the biggest ever cut in migration.”
With this new policy measure, Nigerians and other health and care workers can no longer migrate to the UK with their dependants as before. This measure will have some implications going forward.
