End of sentence for Ivan Toney. Brilliant last season with Brentford, the 27-year-old English striker stood out with 21 goals and 5 freebies in 35 games played with the Bees. Suspended for eight months at the end of last season in May for a sports betting affair, he has not been able to play again since the start of the season.

On his return in January and while Chelsea and Arsenal were in the running, Ivan Toney also swore loyalty to Brentford (16th) which he intends to help maintain. While the London club challenges Nottingham Forest in the championship on Saturday, Ivan Toney celebrated the end of his sanction with a tweet on X where he made a GIF with the word “free”, which means free. Bad news, however, for Premier League defenses.
