Brentford spend £30m on Sepp van den Berg

Never used in the Premier League by Liverpool, Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg (22 years old) signed with Brentford this Thursday. The Reds will recover 35 million euros, bonuses included, for the transfer of the player who was coming off a great season on loan at Mainz.

“Brentford have signed Sepp van den Berg from Premier League club Liverpool; the Dutch defender has signed a five-year contract”the Bees’ statement said. Last season, van den Berg took part in 33 Bundesliga games with Mainz, scoring three goals.
