Wednesday night's defeat at Tottenham in a London derby, coupled with the weekend's results, leaves Thomas Frank's side currently just three points ahead of bottom three as they bid to stay in the Premier League next season for a fourth term.
The Bees are, however, unbeaten in their last two matches at home, and in three of their last five at the Gtech Community Stadium, and have recently benefitted from the return of Ivan Toney, their star striker, from an eight-month ban, who has scored in both matches since his return.
Brentford were surprisingly the only team to complete the double over Manchester City last season in their treble-winning campaign, and will be hoping their recent winning record over the title chasers can continue through tonight.
