Brest stalls again

For the third consecutive day, Brest had to settle for a draw this Sunday, as part of the 21st day of Ligue 1 (1-1).

One of the most attractive teams in the championship this season, the SB29 has however been progressing slowly for several weeks. After draws that looked like good operations nonetheless against PSG (2-2) and Nice (0-0), the Bretons signed one that looked like a poor performance this Sunday.

On the lawn of the red lantern of Clermont, the Brestois had to be content with a slightly annoying sharing of points since they managed to open the scoring with a marvel of curled shot executed by Lees-Melou (0-1, 50e). Although dominated, the Auvergnats still managed to respond with a good header from Kyei (1-1, 69e). The two teams having finished at ten after an altercation between Bizot and Rashani at the end of the match (87e).

Under threat from Monaco

Not enough to allow Clermont to rise beyond 18e step on arrival. Especially since Lorient at the same time got the better of Reims (2-0). For Brest, the podium remains relevant, two steps ahead of Lille, Monaco and Lens while awaiting ASM’s trip to Nice in the evening.
