One of the most controversial stars in the business of professional wrestling is former TNA Knockouts World Champion Tessa Blanchard. She had a lot of issues with the women’s locker room. She was accused of allegedly making racist remarks and for also being a bully backstage.
Recently, Blanchard made a return to TNA at the Final Resolution pay-per-view. She showed up during the match between Jordynne Grace and Rosemary. She attacked Big Mama Pump and the match ended in a no contest. Brian Myers shared his thoughts on the surprise return of the controversial star.
While speaking at a Virtual Signing for K & S WrestleFest the former TNA World Tag Team Champion Brian Myers shared his thoughts on the shocking return of Tessa Blanchard. He mentioned that the issues wrestlers had with Blanchard were before he arrived at TNA. Myers also shared that no matter what had happened, he believes that everyone deserves a second chance and also praised the in-ring skills of Blanchard.
Bryan Myers believes in second chances
“I think… everyone deserves a second chance. I missed all the drama that went on. It was before my time. So, I think time will tell. You got to rip the Band-Aid off, see what happens. I do think she’s a very talented performer. I don’t know her personally, like, whatsoever. So, it is what it is, you know?” Brian Myers said. [H/T POST Wrestling]
Blanchard has never publicly apologized for her remarks and maintained that she “absolutely did not use that word” towards La Rosa Negra in 2017, despite multiple witnesses saying otherwise. In 2020, Blanchard said she was tired of being called a racist and that was not who she was. Blanchard and La Rosa Negra shared a joint Instagram post in 2023 and said they’d made amends with each other.
It is to be noted that Blanchard is also the only female star to hold the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
