Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia gave a glimpse into her ex Zach Bryan’s alleged anger issues, claiming the country star once hurled insults at her friends and smashed glass in a fit of rage.
“He stood up at the fire and just started screaming at my friends, ‘You’re not going to be anything, you’re a f–king loser,’ like just the most horrible s–t. ‘You’re never going to make it,’ like ‘you live off other people,'” the Barstool Sports host, 25, claimed in a bombshell episode of the “BFFs” podcast Thursday.
“Just crazy — out of nowhere. I’m like, ‘what the f–k’ but when Zach’s in this zone, there’s no containing it.”
Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia opened up on her “BFFs” podcast Thursday about how Zach Bryan allegedly once enraged in front of her and her friends. BFFs Podcast She claimed on her “BFFs” podcast that Bryan allegedly hurled insults at her friends. BFFs PodcastLaPaglia — who split from Bryan last month after dating for one year — opened up about the alleged incident to give further insight into the alleged emotional abuse she endured leading up to her breakup.
The podcaster detailed that the couple, her family and her friends had gathered at a house the singer rented in New Hampshire for her birthday weekend.
However, the night took a turn when Bryan allegedly started “throwing jabs” LaPaglia’s friends, calling them “idiots” while sitting around the fire.
The internet personality said at that point she decided to retreat to her bedroom — even though her birthday was in a few minutes — so Bryan would “follow” her and the situation would be de-escalated.
However, the “Sun to Me” singer stayed behind, per LaPaglia, and she allegedly woke up about an hour and a half later to “screaming.”
LaPaglia claimed her friends were in tears after Bryan allegedly started screaming at them. BFFs Podcast She also alleged the singer had been emotionally abusive to her throughout their relationship. briannalapaglia/Instagram“It’s, like, all of my girlfriends crying and I’m like, ‘What the f–k happened?'” she said on her podcast, adding that when she went downstairs she allegedly saw her aunt “trying to control Zach.”
After witnessing Bryan’s rage, LaPaglia claimed she brought him up to bed where he smashed glass.
“It was just awful,” she recalled before revealing that her now-ex started recording her after that because there is a recording of the night he flipped out that “can never be out.”
LaPaglia’s co-host Dave Portnoy then said he now realized why Bryan allegedly offered up $12 million to keep the podcaster quiet about their relationship issues via an NDA.
“It’s starting to become a little more evident why the $12 million,” the Barstool Sports founder, 47, said. “I think it’s good you told that story. I think that story should be told. I think it explains a lot.”
Bryan and LaPaglia dated for a year from the summer of 2023 to the fall of 2024. briannalapaglia/Instagram LaPaglia’s co-host said after hearing her story it “explains” why she was allegedly offered $12 million to stay silent.LaPaglia hinted, however, that the horrific story she shared was just the tip of the iceberg.
She pointed out how her phone was currently cracked because of another time that Bryan allegedly became enraged and smashed it “off a wall.” She also previously shared the singer allegedly got upset because she sang a Morgan Wallen song in his house.
The influencer said that, despite not taking the massive payout, she has no plans to further expose her allegedly toxic ex because it’s “embarrassing” for her and she doesn’t “want [her] future kids to see it.”
Page Six reached out to Bryan’s reps for comment on the abuse claims but did not hear back.
LaPaglia said she turned down the hush money because she didn’t want to take anything from the person who “hurt” her. Getty ImagesThe “Heading South” singer also has not directly responded to the explosive podcast episode on social media — although he did share a cryptic quote Thursday from the classic novel “On the Road.”
It reads, “I didn’t know what to say. I felt like crying, Goddammit everybody in the world wants an explanation for your acts and for your very being.”
Bryan also admitted in his breakup announcement post last month — which allegedly blindsided LaPaglia as it was shared one day after the official split — that he “failed people that love” him and “mostly” himself.
