Brie Garcia has mixed emotions heading into AEW All In, where Bryan Danielson will put his career on the line when he challenges AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland for the gold.

Speaking on Close Up with Renee Paquette, Bryan Danielson’s wife Brie Garcia was asked to comment on how she was feeling heading into the show.

“It’s emotional. It’s crazy because coming to London, and to see Bryan in the ring is always exciting,” Garcia said. “The kids and I are so excited to watch him live. But at the same time, tonight, there’s a lot that’s going on, just in my mind and in my heart. I felt like I’ve been at this place before with Bryan.

“Tonight, we could either leave this arena, I guess either way in tears. It’s gonna be tears of happiness, to see him as the first time ever in his career as an AEW champion, or it’ll be another time when I have to see Bryan not having the opportunity to make the decision to retire, to once again be forced to retire.”

Brie Garcia On Bryan Danielson’s Health

Brie Garcia continued by noting that she and Bryan talked about his health, as it was clear that he was in pain. She also highlighted his love and his passion for wrestling.

“Coming from a mother and his wife, I just care so much about his body, his neck,” Garcia said. “Every time I see him out there, every week I watch, I’m just like, ‘Bryan, your neck, your neck.’ So it’s the biggest thing in the conversations is his health. But coming from someone who used to wrestle, I look at Bryan’s heart, and I just see his passion, his love, and I can’t imagine him ever not wrestling again.”

Garcia noted that she and Bryan joke about getting old, but she tells him that he should not be in this much pain at 43 years old.

“I’m like, ‘Bryan, at 43 years old, you shouldn’t be feeling this much pain.’ That’s where I get worried,” she said. “I will say, compared to a lot of people, my husband takes such great care of his body, and he does so many things outside of the ring to make sure he’s in the best shape he can be, he feels good. But at the same time, I do his body breaking down, and it’s hard when you come home and you have a seven-year-old and a four-year-old.

“So when daddy walks through the door, it’s not the ‘The American Dragon’, it’s daddy, and it’s their time to wrestle with him. When he’s feeling these aches and pains and it’s hard for him to play with his kids, it’s when you start to think, ‘Should I be doing this anymore?’”

Brie Garcia Doesn’t Know Which Way She Will Be Cheering

Brie continued by saying that she did not know which way she would be cheering, as she has wanted him to be home more, but she was unsure whether she wanted to see his in-ring career end.

“I don’t know which way I’ll be cheering,” she said. I”t’s like, yes, I’ve always wanted my husband to be home more, but at the same time, I’ve been with him, and all we’ve ever known together is wrestling, and I just don’t know if I want to see that end for him.”

Brie Garcia On Bryan Danielson’s AEW Run

Brie then stated that she has seen Bryan Danielson do everything that he has wanted to do in AEW, and maybe that was why he felt like he could be satisfied if he had to walk away,

“I truly have felt Bryan here, and I see the excitement,” she said. “I was with him when he was frustrated, when he felt like he wasn’t being heard. And he’s been nothing but heard here, and he’s done everything he’s wanted to do.

“I honestly feel like that’s why Bryan is at a point where he feels like he can actually walk away from pro wrestling. Because he’s been so fulfilled the last three years, he’s been surrounded by all the people he loves, he has gotten in that ring with people he’s been dying to wrestle, and so he finally feels like he can walk away and be satisfied, and that just says so much.”

Brie Garcia’s Final Message For Bryan Danielson

When asked for a final message for Bryan Danielson, Brie Garcia stayed that it would be “badass” for Bryan to win the world title in front of his kids.

“One thing I told Bryan is, we all flew out here because we’re not hoping this is your last match, and we all know your journey is coming to an end, but it doesn’t have to an end tonight,” she said. “So when you go out there, fight hard. Fight so hard because I think it would be pretty badass for your kids to see you become a champion.

“But I know your heart will lead you, and it will tonight.’ There is no doubt in my mind that Bryan’s gonna walk out a champion. I truly believe it. Then after that, I don’t know know how much light there is at the end of that tunnel, and if it is tonight, then what a beautiful ending to his story.”
