Bring Her Back? WWE Reached Out To Former Champion For Special Royal Rumble Appearance

Come on back? There have been all kinds of stars throughout WWE’s history, some of whom have made more of an impact than others. Those more well remembered names are often brought back again later, often for some special appearances in one way or another. A former champion is now revealing that not only did WWE attempt to bring her back, but that she is also interested in coming back later.

During a recent appearance on They Made Their Way To The Ring, former WWE Women’s Champion Layla revealed that WWE offered her a spot in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble. However, Layla said that she was completely shut of from wrestling and turned down the invitation. She did however say “never say never” in regards to a future Royal Rumble appearance. Layla last wrestled in July 2015.

Opinion: This is where the Royal Rumble can make for some rather fun moments. Layla has not been around for nearly ten years and having her show up would be a nice nostalgia reaction. That is the kind of thing that you do not get to see very often and it is a special moment when someone like Layla shows up again. I could go for seeing her again, as she was quite a star while she was around.
