Bristol City v Nottingham Forest preview
Nottingham Forest make the trip to the West Country on Friday night having seen their four-match unbeaten run, which contained three wins, come to an end at Brentford in the Premier League last weekend.
The defeat in London was Nuno Espirito Santo's first taste of defeat as Forest manger since his first match in charge of the club, and means the East Midlands side now head to Bristol having won only one of their last eight matches away from home.
Forest needed extra time in their third round replay with League One side Blackpool to book their place in round four, despite leading 2-0 with half an hour of their tie in Lancashire remaining, having also had to come back from 2-0 down to force a replay in the first game.
The two-time FA Cup winners have only reached the fifth round of the FA Cup once in the last nine years, and will be aiming for just a fourth appearance in round five this century on Friday night.
Bristol City prepare for the visit of Nottingham Forest having won only one of their last six matches since a 4-1 win at Watford on Boxing Day, though that victory did come in an FA Cup third round replay at home to West Ham.
Liam Manning's side had been just a point off the play-offs after their win on Boxing Day, but picking up just two points in their five league games since has seen them drop down to 13th where they now sit six points behind the top six.
The Robins have lost just one of their last five matches at Ashton Gate, most recently fighting back from a goal down to earn a point against a Watford side who started the day just three points behind the top six.
Bristol City have won just one of their six matches against Nottingham Forest, losing the last two meetings, but Forest have only won on one of their last nine visits to Ashton Gate.
