Britney Spears‘ child support to Kevin Federline is coming to an end — after handing over an estimated $5 MILLION!

Thursday marks the ex-couple’s youngest son Jayden James‘ 18th birthday — and that means his momma will get to stop spending so much on child support. But according to DailyMail.com sources on Wednesday, the DJ is not so happy about this!

The outlet predicted the pop star had given Kevin more than $5 million over the past 17 years — money sources believe was used to help raise Kevin’s entire family, not just the two boys it was meant for. An insider dished:

“The amount of money Britney has given Kevin for the two boys is extraordinary and it is enough for any man to support an entire family, which is what she believes he has done.”

Kevin not only shares James and Sean Preston, who will turn 19 later this week, with the singer but he also shares Kori, 22, and Kaleb, 20, with ex Shar Jackson, and young daughters, Jordan and Peyton, with wife Victoria Prince.

Now that her obligations are behind her, the source noted that “Britney is living her best life” — but her ex-husband is likely going to struggle with the lack of funding:

“Britney is hearing that he is not a happy camper.”

Who would be?? He’s been getting a ton of money!

While the Circus vocalist has faced rumors of financial issues, the insiders insisted she’s doing just fine in that department thanks to the success of her book, which is now being turned into a movie with Universal Pictures. She’s even thinking about doing more creative projects which would add money to her wallet, an insider teased:

“This film has allowed her to get outside of her head. She is considering creating new music for the soundtrack but that is still preliminary.”

Plus, she’s getting rid of all the negative influences in her life, such as her ex-boyfriend Paul Richard Soliz, the source claimed:

“She has rid herself of all toxic people.”

That’s good! The mother has also been mending her relationship with her sons in recent weeks and is looking forward to the thought of “having her boys back.” They are currently living in Hawaii with their father and Jayden isn’t expected to see the Grammy winner to celebrate. Confidants said he “will likely be having a celebration with his friends.”

Despite this, Brit Brit is reportedly planning to spend a TON of money on him to celebrate — and perhaps rub it in Kevin’s face, too! An insider told the outlet that the Crossroads alum is going to give Jayden a gift that “is more expensive than anything his father could afford.” LOLz!

IT’S GIFTNEY, BISH!

As Perezcious readers will recall, Britney was forced to pay the former dancer a reported $240,000 per year for the boys starting in 2007. In 2018, however, the amount was increased by a court order to $480,000 per year. The support was raised after Kevin argued he couldn’t provide the same quality of life to his sons compared to the A-lister, noting that he was no longer very successful in the entertainment industry. The performer has been paying this exorbitant amount of money even amid an estrangement from the teenagers. In a since-deleted response to Jayden’s 60 Minutes Australia interview in 2022, in which he urged his mother to get better and stop posting so much online, she argued:

“Do you guys want me to continue to get better so I can continue giving your dad 40 grand a month? Or is the reason you guys have decided to be hateful is that it’s actually over in two years and you don’t get anything?”

Oof! Upon the family’s move to Hawaii, there was some thought that Kevin was going to fight to keep getting child support for a few more years based on the state’s unique laws, but he seemingly shut that theory down. So, looks like the payments really are finished!

The good news for the kids is that sources say the family has been able to move past previous tensions — and Britney’s not necessarily closing her checkbook for good, she’s just going to be extra careful with her money moving forward. DM‘s sources noted:

“In terms of her boys Sean and Jayden, they know that she would do the world for them, but she will be very careful to make sure any money she gives to them will not be handed over to their dad.”

They reiterated:

“Britney is doing extremely well right now. She has plenty of money to live how she wants for the remainder of her life.”

Love to hear she’s doing well. We hope Jayden has a great birthday — even though it means the child support money is coming to an end!
