AEW President Tony Khan made a blockbuster announcement at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con event with regards to the AEW All In pay-per-view. He revealed that Dr. Britt Baker will challenge Mercedes Moné for the TBS Championship at AEW All In.

During last night’s San Diego Comic-Con event, AEW had a special panel for them. The stars that were present on the panel were Will Ospreay, Swerve Strickland, Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Orange Cassidy, and the President of the promotion Tony Khan. Adding to them, a surprise visitor showed up. It was none other than Mercedes Moné. She claimed that Baker will never be able to hold the TBS Championship ever in her career.

“Comic Con. Please say hello to your CEO… I got it from here because I got a couple of questions for Britt too. One, I’m surprised that you are even here. How are you feeling after last night at AEW Dynamite? Huh? And another question Britt, how does it feel that you are never going to be as good as Mercedes Moné? How does it feel that you are never going to get the TBS Champion ever again? How does it feel that you are not going to have a match at All In? Because I’m going to be facing anybody but you. But Britt, I’ll let you get a little close look at this for the very last time because you are never going to get this title b****,” Mercedes Moné said.

Tony Khan gives Britt Baker what she has been wanting

Following Moné’s comments, she and Baker began to brawl with each other. After the other stars and security intervened and separated the two, Tony Khan got on the microphone to make the huge announcement. Khan mentioned that Mercedes Moné was not scheduled to be at the event and that he was sick of the two stars quarreling with each other. Thus, he made it official that Baker and Moné will settle their differences once and for all at AEW All In on August 25th.

“You are not scheduled to be here Mercedes… Ladies and Gentlemen, I am sick of this. For weeks, for weeks, on AEW Dynamite every Wednesday on TBS, ever since Forbidden Door, you’ve seen Dr. Britt Baker and the TBS Champion Mercedes Moné going at it, arguing. I’m sick of it. I’d love to see that match. Wouldn’t you? That’s why, August 25th, at Wembley Stadium, in London, England. At AEW All In for the TBS Championship, it will be Mercedes Moné versus Dr. Britt Baker,” Tony Khan said.

This wasn’t the only wrestling-adjacent announcement at Comic-Con, as Ronda Rousey also announced she was expecting her second child. Rousey made the announcement during her own panel, which was moderated by Dave Bautista.
