EXCLUSIVE: Premiere Entertainment Group (PEG), the LA-based production and sales company, has acquired worldwide rights to holiday rom-com film Love Unexpected, which will star Britt Robertson (The Longest Ride).
Production is set to start in December in the Greater Colorado Springs area.
Robertson will star as a popular social media influencer who visits her sister’s family for the holidays and takes it upon herself to save the Magical Christmas Parade with the help of her fans and an unexpected flame from the past.
Wendy Faraone (Saving Christmas Spirit) will be directing from an original screenplay by Disney’s Liv and Maddie creators John D. Beck and Ron Hart. Persephone Hawkins is producing for Pandora Persephone Films. Elias Axume serves as executive producer for Premiere Entertainment.
Premiere Entertainment recently launched talks with buyers on the project at the American Film Market (AFM) in Las Vegas. Additional casting is underway.
“With Love Unexpected, we set out to tell a story that speaks to the beautiful unpredictability of life and love. It’s a celebration of those unexpected connections that change everything. We hope audiences find themselves not only entertained but reminded of the resilience of the human heart,” said producer Hawkins. “Pandora Persephone Films is excited to be partnering with Premiere Entertainment on this magical Christmas film set against the backdrop of the beautiful Rocky Mountains.”
Britt Robertson is known for movies including Tomorrowland and The Longest Ride and series The Rookie: Feds and The Secret Circle. She is repped by Innovative Artists.
