Brock Lesnar has squared off against many top stars in the industry over the years and that includes Goldberg. However, it appears Lesnar was allegedly upset with the $250K payout he got for his infamous match.

After 12 years away from the ring, Goldberg returned at WWE Survivor Series 2016 to face off against Brock Lesnar. Prior to that, Goldberg’s last match was against Lesnar at WrestleMania 20, which was hated by many fans.

Fans hated it because they knew Goldberg and Lesnar were leaving the company after WrestleMania 20. While speaking on his Grilling JR podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross noted that both Brock Lesnar and Goldberg were paid $250,000 each for their match.

Brock Lesnar expressed dissatisfaction with his paycheck and engaged in a phone argument with Jim Ross, ultimately hanging up on the veteran.

“I remember, I think the payoff, if I’m not mistaken. that we did for that show is that, I think he made 250 grand and so did Goldberg. I remember sitting in my office in Stanford and Vince’s assistant said Brock Lesnar’s on the line. He wanted to talk to Vince and Vince wants him to talk to you. So that was my prep for that conversation, and like… here he is. So there he goes and so I get on the phone with him and he’s in a foul mood because he got his payoff, thought he got screwed.

I said, ‘What are you basing this on, did you do a study of the finances of this event or did somebody tell you, one of your buddies tell you you got screwed in your payoff? What are you basing this on? I don’t… you have to give me something here? You didn’t like it?’ And he said, ‘I just think you guys screwed me.’ I said, ‘Well we didn’t screw you and I’m sorry you feel that way,’ and he hung up on me.”

As previously mentioned, The Beast Incarnate has been excluded from WWE game. Moreover, he has also been removed from WWE Creative plans for the foreseeable future and it is unknown whether he will return to WWE ever again. We will have to wait and see what will become of Lesnar in the end.
