Bron Breakker always knew he would be a wrestler.

The former football star briefly signed with NFL side Baltimore Ravens, but failed to make it as a pro football star. He quickly signed for the WWE, and became one of the top stars in NXT.

Prior to WrestleMania 40, he spoke to NewsNation about his start in wrestling. They noted his father and uncle (Rick Steiner and Scott Steiner) were wrestlers, and if that contributed to him becoming a wrestling.

Bron Breakker said:

“No, I always knew that this was going to be. Where my home was, where I belonged. I was a football player for so many years and an amateur wrestler as well. And, you know, and I worked very hard at all those things and took them very seriously. When it was time for me to be finished with the NFL, I didn’t hesitate. This was like immediately, I was ready to go.”

Bron Breakker was then asked about the Vince McMahon scandal, where the former Chairman was accused of sexual misconduct by a former employer.

The NXT star claimed he knew nothing about it, and just wanted to talk about wrestling.

“No, it’s just, you know, an unfortunate situation and, you know, it sucks, and, but, you know, I’m, I’m here to entertain this weekend, I’m here to put on the best show that I possibly can and, you know, it’s going to be a great one, Stand and Deliver is going to break records and, you know, NXT’s, you know, arguably the hottest 2-hour wrestling show that there is right now.”
