Brooke Shields’ youngest daughter, Grier Henchy, found out her mother was once sexually assaulted by watching the famous actress’ 2023 documentary, “Pretty Baby.”

“I was learning about things the same time that the world was and I just took it more deeply and personally,” the 18-year-old said in a shared People cover story with her mom and sister, Rowan Henchy.

Gier then admitted that she “couldn’t even get through” the entire two-part series.

In the Hulu documentary, Shields, now 59, revealed for the first time that she was raped by a well-known Hollywood executive, whom she chose not to name, in her 20s.

The “Blue Lagoon” star shared that she had gone out to dinner with the unidentified man to discuss potential projects and agreed to go up to his hotel afterwards.

“I go up to the hotel room, and he disappears for a while,” she said in the doc, noting that she then picked up a pair of binoculars but was taken aback soon after when the exec walked back in naked.

“I put the binoculars down and he’s right on me. Just like, was wrestling,” Shields continued. “I was afraid I’d get choked out or something.”

The “Suddenly Susan” alum admitted that she “absolutely froze” during the ordeal and she just “shut it out” because she thought to herself at the time, “‘Stay alive and get out.”

“God knows I knew how to be disassociated from my body,” Shields recognized. “I’d practiced that.”

The now-mother of two told People that while her eldest, Rowan, 21, knew about her experience, she just “didn’t prepare” Grier.

“It was a miscommunication,” the “Pretty Baby” star said, sharing that she had told her teen about the complicated topics discussed in the doc such as the “sexualization of women” in Hollywood.

However, Shields thought that because she felt she and her kids have a “solid, healthy, fairly normal existence” and she is not “completely damaged” by what happened to her that Grier would say, “‘Wow you’ve come through a lot but look where we are today.’”

The “Endless Love” star said she even told her young daughter that there was a “happy ending” in the series but that was not appeasing to Grier.

The college student told her mom, “I will never be OK with thinking something bad happened to you.”

“She felt helpless,” Shields added, “and just as a mom, we make mistakes and sometimes we make assumptions.”

The former model previously shared that she had gotten “in trouble” with her two girls for withholding information from them about her past and they were “mad” she didn’t “inform them about everything.”

Shields told People that she realizes why they felt that way, noting, “To see the documentary or to see your parents as a public figure that other people have opinions on is just an odd situation.”

The “Mother of the Bride” star concluded, “I’ve learned a lot by listening to them.”
