When asked about Shane McMahon, Bryan Danielson says he doesn’t have beef with anyone, and he would be open to working with anyone.
The wrestling world continues to buzz about Shane McMahon potentially coming to AEW, especially since he met with Tony Khan. Fightful Select and WrestleTalk previously reported that the two met to discuss “possibilities moving forward.” Khan himself has made it clear that he enjoyed working with McMahon.
Bryan Danielson previously worked with Shane McMahon in WWE, as they were both the General Manager of SmackDown. Danielson was also one of WWE’s top stars for years, so it’s fair to say that he and McMahon go way back.
Bryan Danielson was asked whether he would be open to working with Shane McMahon in AEW during an interview with The Gorilla Position. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)
“I’m open to working with anybody,” Danielson said. “I don’t have beef with anybody. 100%.”
Bryan Danielson was also asked whether he knew anything about Tony Khan meeting with Shane McMahon. He noted that Khan told him after the picture of the meeting had already made the rounds.
“One, if I knew, I would not tell you,” he said. “Two, I don’t know [laughs]. It was interesting because Tony mentioned to me after the photo came out, ‘I didn’t want to tell you this before, but I met with Shane McMahon.’ I didn’t say this, but I was like, ‘Yeah, I know. The picture is everywhere.’ To be fair, I’m not aware of a lot of things because I don’t go on Twitter or social media.”
