Bully Ray sees a potential issue with TNA’s Joe Hendry moonlighting in NXT.

The Scottish star has taken over the wrestling world in recent weeks. His entrance theme nearly topped the charts in the UK. Meanwhile, his parody songs have accrued millions of views on YouTube.

NXT fans gleefully belted out his entrance music when he debuted for the company last month. He received huge pops in both his appearances, with more appearances for the TNA star likely to follow in NXT.

However, wrestling for NXT might not be what Joe Hendry needs, according to one WWE Hall of Famer.

Bully Ray spoke on Busted Open Radio (H/T to WrestlingInc) recently about Joe Hendry’s appearances in NXT. He noted that Hendry will need to wrestle guys with much more experience than himself in order to improve, and get to the next level.

“Joe needs to work with guys who have significantly more experience than him and who can teach him the things that will get him to the next level. In NXT, I don’t believe he’ll be in the ring with anybody who can do that for him. Now maybe if they used [Baron] Corbin in NXT, if Joe Hendry was in the ring with Corbin, Corbin can do that for him, but [Hendry] is very much in the ring with a lot of his contemporaries and a lot of his peers. You’re only going to go so far until you can get in the ring with somebody who can take you to the next level.”

Bully Ray does have a point. While Joe Hendry is 36-years-old, he only began wrestling when he was 25. While he has vast amounts of experience on the UK indies, facing more experienced WWE Superstars is what he’ll need in order to get better.
