EXCLUSIVE: Former CAA and UTA TV lit agent Joel Begleiter has joined TFC Management, the company launched in 2020 by UTA’s Ben Jacobson and WME’s David Stone.

Begleiter was one of two senior CAA TV lit agents, alongside Adam Biren, whose departure as part of the agency’s recent layoffs came as a surprise to many.

He met with multiple agencies and management companies before deciding to join longtime friends — and fellow former TV lit agents — Jacobson and Stone at TFC. The three had worked together at UTA before Stone left for WMA, subsequently transitioning to WME, and Begleiter moved to CAA. It’s expected that many of Begleiter’s former clients will stay with him in his new role as a manager.

“After serious consideration, it became clear to me that the opportunity to do something more entrepreneurial was ultimately undeniable. I’m excited to join the team at TFC,” Begleiter said. “I am thrilled to work with exceptional friends and partners that I’ve spent my entire professional career getting to know and trust.”

Begleiter spent the last 7 years at CAA. Prior to that, he was at UTA for 18 years, starting in the mailroom. In addition to his core traditional television writer business, he also has a sizable footprint in adult animation and live-play streaming. While at UTA, he was instrumental in packaging such long-running animated shows as Archer and Rick & Morty.

“We’re so excited to welcome Joel to TFC. He’s an incredible advocate, a very well-liked and well-respected executive, and a longtime friend,” Jacobson and Stone said. “He brings with him not only a dynamic roster of clients, but a wealth of industry relationships and experience across a variety of mediums and genres.”

This is the third partner-level hire for TFG since its launch, following the 2023 arrival of Brittany Kahan Ward and Graciella Sanchez from Echo Lake Entertainment.
