Tony Khan brought a new spotlight to Cagematch ratings, so that site is getting a lot of attention. He uses the internet wrestling database to gauge fan reactions to his company’s matches.
WWE and AEW both featured World Title matches this week. Jinder Mahal took on Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on RAW. Also, Taz’s son, Hook, took on Samoa Joe for the AEW World Title. Those were big matches for everyone involved.
As of this writing, the AEW main event match drew an 8.26 rating on Cagematch. The WWE main event of RAW garnered a 4.57. That is very different, and it’s evident that the people voting felt a certain sort of way about things.
We will have to see if Cagematch ratings continue being a thing in pro wrestling. Now, it appears that fans are going to keep looking at that site. Only time will tell if WWE ever speaks on those ratings in any fashion.
